Do you customize cakes, or are there designs I can choose from?
All cakes are made to order and customized to your personal preference. I suggest looking around online, in books, or in magazines to get some ideas. We can work together to combine different ideas and I will offer suggestions to your design.

What flavors and fillings are available?
Flavors: Vanilla, Chocolate, Marble, Lemon, Orange, Coconut, Red Velvet, Carrot, Spice, Pumpkin, Banana, Apple, Lemon Poppyseed, Orange Poppy Seed
Fillings: Vanilla, Chocolate, Raspberry, Strawberry, Orange, Lemon, Lime, Mango, Coffee, Mocha, Coconut, Peppermint, Chocolate Mint, Caramel
Extras: Fruit and Nuts can be mixed in with the fillings to add that extra special touch to your cake.
*I also open to an suggestions or ideas that you have in mind, just call and ask if there is something in particular that you would like.

How far in advance do I need to order my cake?
All of my cakes are by appointment only, therefore, I am very flexible with timing. Of course the best option is to plan ahead and order the cake a few months in advance for weddings, and a few weeks for birthdays and other occasions, but I have been known to fill orders with only 5 days notice. 

Who will make my cake?
I will be making your cake and delivering it.

How many cakes does the baker make each weekend, on average?
Currently, I am making cakes by appointment only, so every week/month is different.

What is the cost per slice?
The easiest way to price a cake is per serving. I charge between $3-6 dollars per serving, depending on the design and details of the cake. Other confections like petit fours and cupcakes will be priced depending on the design and materials needed.

Are there different prices depending on the design of the cake or the flavors?
Yes. Some designs and flavors require extra materials and specialty ingredients.

How much is the deposit I'll need to leave?
Half the price of the order.

When is the balance due?
The balance is due at the time the cake is due.

How will the baker deliver the cake and is there any extra charge for delivery?
The cake will be hand delivered by me. Depending on the distance, a delivery fee will be charged.

Will the baker preserve the top tier for my first anniversary? Or will they supply me with a top tier on my first anniversary?
I will provide you with a complimentary box to take the top tier home. I will provide detailed instructions on how to preserve your cake. It is suggested to have a friend or close relative do this for you on your wedding day.

Do you offer tastings? Is there a charge? How many people can participate?
Yes I do offer tastings. Pick a few flavors that you are interested in and we can schedule a time for up to four people to come and taste the cakes. Cake tasting is complimentary.

If I'm not getting married in the same town, will the baker ship my cake to the wedding destination?
Shipping a cake is currently not an option. It is to risky. Depending on how far the location, we can work out a delivery charge.

Will the baker use real or sugar flowers?
It is your choice, I have used sugar, real, and fake flowers.

Will the baker speak with my florist to make sure their details match?
Yes. I want your wedding cake to be perfect. Leave me with the contact information and I will make sure my details match their details.

Will the baker supply a cake topper for me?
Yes, I can, extra charges will apply though.

Will the baker supply me with a cake stand, cake knife and server? Are there extra charges for these items?
Yes, I have a cake server, stand, and knife. If there is something different that you want me to use, you will have to provide it.

Are your cakes made fresh daily?
My cakes are made to order by appointment only.

Are you able to recreate a cake from a picture?
If there is a picture that you have found of one, or details from a couple cake pictures, bring them to our initial meeting and we can discuss your ideas and I will make suggestions toward those ideas.

Do you have a design book with ideas?
Some, but I prefer to let my clients choose what they want and I will offer any suggestions or ideas that I have.

Can you provide references?
Yes.
